PBIS
PBIS at Glenn Elementary:
Glenn Elementary School has adopted a behavior management program called PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies) to help establish a positive school climate. Everyone in the school is actively involved in the program and committed to its success.
Glenn has three expectations: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. These expectations are universal through all areas of the school. There is a matrix linked below that outlines each expectation in the different areas of the building, such as the classrooms, hallways, restrooms, playground, bus, etc.
A strong reinforcement system is a major component of the program. Students earn Pride Points when they make good behavioral choices. These Pride Points can be used to purchase school supplies at the school store, purchase participation in special activities, and many other privileges throughout the building.
